In 2023, the Queensland Government committed $5 million to install new concrete noise barriers along Gympie Arterial Road in Bald Hills as part of the Gympie Arterial Road and Strathpine Road Interchange Update. I also managed to secure further funding to also target the nearby Wing Street with barrier locations. These barriers were completed in July 2024 and are making a real difference for Bald Hills locals.

This is in addition to the  $4 million in funding to install noise barriers along Gympie Road in Aspley which I secured in 2019. These barriers have been making a massive difference in the lives of the families and community members who live along this busy thoroughfare and have been bearing the brunt of Gympie Road's extreme traffic noise along the eastern state of this busy road.
