The Craigslea community had for many many years been chasing an upgrade to their tired and crowded hall. Put simply, the school deserved a facility that matched their ability as one of the very best Volleyball schools in the country. So, it was no surprise that when I became the local MP, a dedicated group of current and former parents, and the school, were quickly in my door and told me they wouldn't let up until we could get something sorted.

I had to twist a few arms to get the funding commitment in 2020 to build the new centre, but I'm so glad that it's now come to life as an amazing facility that the school and the community will be able to use for generations.

State Schools deserve great facilities, and I'm so pleased that Craiglsea students now have this transformational piece of infrastructure to call their own. Thanks to the entire Craigslea community for helping make this happen.
