In 2024, I secured $5 million in funding for the completion of the Cabbage Tree Creek footpath, linking to the existing footpath in Zillmere and extending through the Carseldine Urban Village precinct to Beams Road.

I’m pleased that the project has now been formally recognised as a specific project in the latest Brisbane City Council and Queensland Government budgets. However, I am still pursuing a definitive timeline for when construction will commence, as this has not yet been clearly outlined by Brisbane City Council. I have written to Council seeking confirmation of the construction schedule and will keep the community updated as soon as I have more information.
