I managed to secure a $16 million share of the Palaszczuk Government's $220 million school works program, which is set to create more than 720 jobs across Queensland, and will deliver some fantastic upgrades to our local schools. On top of that, I secured $3.4m in school infrastructure investment for the Aspley electorate in the 2023-24 Queensland State Budget.
The projects in the Aspley Electorate include:
🔧 Aspley State School - $400,000 to refurbish classrooms and build a safe and modern outdoor learning area
🔧 Bald Hills State School - $300 000 to refurbish amenities
🔧 Craigslea State School - $1.48m for brand new accessible amenities and to refurbish the Administration Block
🔧 Geebung Special School - $200,000 to refurbish their early childhood development precinct
🔧 Zillmere State School - $1.16m for new drop off and pickup zone and upgraded tuckshop infrastructure
🔧 Aspley State High School - $14.5m for a brand new performing arts centre and sports hall
🔧 An additional $1.06m for maintenance and minor works across schools in the Aspley Electorate
